Molly is a multidisciplinary artist and licensed and board certified creative arts therapist. She was born and raised in Washington DC. Molly moved to NYC in 2008 after completing her BFA at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). She has worked for over 10+ years as a teaching artist and workshop instructor in the NYC area. She completed her Master’s at Pratt Institute in 2022 in Creative Arts Therapy. Molly owns a private practice and resides in Brooklyn, NY with her dog Pearl.

Molly’s artistic practice spans a wide spectrum of textile mediums, including rug tufting, weaving, embroidery, crochet, beading, papier-mâché, and natural dyes. Her focus is making hand tufted rugs with images of fragmented women’s bodies adding mixed media elements added to them. Drawing on her experiences as both an artist and an art therapist, she weaves together these dual identities through her work to showing the dialogue between them. With her work she wants to connect her daydreamy, rich imaginative inner world and the outside world.
